He may deny it but he is also a novelist (struggling) and horse breeder (failed). He brings an intense dislike of cynics and immense hatred for bigots to the show. He clearly loves irony. He is the rightful heir (albeit only according to himself) of Acharya Atre and Pu La Deshpande.
